Kieran Nolan Biog
Kieran’s main research interests lie in Tangible Interface Development. This evolving discipline area of interface design places as much emphasis on the physical controls as audio and visual feedback. Research and development in tangible interface design typically involves the rapid prototyping of interactive devices using reclaimed hardware components interfaced to the computer through physical computing platforms such as the Arduino. The areas market relevance is exemplified in the immersive gameplay experiences afforded by Nintendo’s gestural Wii controller.
